Biography

Michael Inwald is the Managing Director of Crocker Mountain Capital, a Boston-based single-family office focused on early-stage to middle-market direct investments and funds. He is also the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Captivate Partners, a collaboration platform launched with Crocker Mountain to acquire control positions in lower middle-market businesses across the consumer, commercial services, and commerce technology sectors.

Prior to joining Crocker Mountain in 2017, Michael evaluated investments for a Connecticut-based family office while concurrently serving as the Founder and CEO of Cheeseboy Restaurants, the first multi-unit quick-service grilled cheese restaurant chain in the U.S. He also served as an active board member of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute (now Tsai CITY).

Michael began his career in media, marketing, and business development at companies including Ogilvy & Mather and MKTG, where he worked with clients such as Diageo and Kikkoman. He is a longtime volunteer and supporter of Paul Newman’s SeriousFun Children’s Network. Michael holds a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
